We are thrilled to announce that One Playground Merrylands is officially open. This epic new facility is here to revolutionise the Western Sydney fitness scene with a brand new health and wellness destination.

Experience the elegance of a high-end hotel fused with the cutting-edge amenities of a wellness centre, boutique studios, and best-in-class equipment sourced from around the globe. This isn’t just a gym – it’s a complete wellness experience that elevates your fitness journey to a whole new level.

A Design Beyond the Ordinary

The design transports you away to another time or place, taking inspiration from the luxury of Dubai or Morocco in this internationally inspired design.

The Concept – “The Mirage”

Each One Playground facility is unique, and the concept for ‘The Mirage’ is to inspire a new and elevated vision for your fitness and wellness journey. Just like a mirage appears as a captivating image in the distance that you cannot wait to reach, this One Playground experience has been designed to inspire members to set ambitious goals and reach a level of health, fitness and wellness they never thought was possible. The exceptional architectural features of the Mason and Main development are highlighted, with the soaring 5.5-metre ceilings and elegant arched windows brought to life with a design that is out of this world.

You are met with a sophisticated lobby with terracotta render wall finishes, elevated with natural stone, micro cement floors and custom lighting. As you peer through the arched breezeblock gateway, you can see a custom pink marble drinking fountain that sits inside the wellness lounge. This amazing design continues from room to room, with surprising and beautiful elements found throughout.

We wanted to create something special and memorable. A truly immersive experience that allows you to disconnect from your time at work or home and step into a space that is dedicated to achieving a better version of yourself.

One Playground Merrylands is more than just a gym, it’s a complete fitness and wellness destination that provides every experience to help you achieve your goals.

Spanning two floors and covering 3000 sqm, this is One Playground’s largest facility to date, and truly offers members all their needs in one place, with one membership. The oversized facility has 6 group training studio concepts, 2 semi-private studios, private recovery suites, saunas and a 1,500 square metre weights and cardio zone.

The gym floor is a fitness haven, equipped with over 100 cutting-edge machines, including premium Technogym cardio equipment and bespoke Gym80 gear. With 11 squat racks, 24 benches, 4 leg press machines, 4 precision-engineered lat pull-downs, and 3 dedicated seated rows, it is designed to meet a wide range of workout needs. Additionally, the gym offers a full set of Watson dumbbells, engraved with the One Playground logo, providing a premium touch to your training experience.

We are delighted to unveil the Comfort Zone, a dedicated weights area thoughtfully designed for those who appreciate a more tranquil and relaxed environment. This intimate space offers all the essential equipment found on the main gym floor, but in a private environment, perfectly suited for those who prefer lighter weights and a calm, low-energy atmosphere.

Studio Concepts

Alongside The Flagship, another brand new One Playground location opening in Haymarket, we are revolutionising group training with the introduction of six new studio concepts, offering over 200 classes a week.

The Studio Concepts cover each exercise modality:

• Reformer: A sophisticated and stylish space, catering to both dedicated fitness enthusiasts and those who value staying up-to-date with current workout trends. Merrylands is home to two Reformer studios: Tempo and Flow.
• Motion: This unique studio blends the expressiveness of dance, the flowing nature of yoga, and the core strength of Pilates, creating a dynamic and engaging workout experience.
• Force: Experience science-backed programming in our dedicated strength and conditioning studio.
• Pulse: At Pulse, dynamic music and lighting drive time-based workouts on individual benches with pre-set equipment, creating an energising and seamless fitness experience. Let the rhythm lead you as you push your limits.
• Legacy: Experience the ultimate fight-focused fitness classes, blending HIIT, punch techniques, and combat styles like Boxing, Muay Thai, and Kickboxing. Build strength, refine your skills, and get fight-ready in every session.

Recovery and Amenities

Your One Playground membership will include access to a crèche, available to members for a small fee.

Members can enjoy a traditional sauna in each of the male and female changing rooms, available to use at all time, no booking required. This offers a perfect chance to relax or rejuvenate post-workout.

For those looking to take their recovery a step further, bookable private recovery suites are available, each fitted with an ice bath, infrared sauna and shower for the ultimate science-backed recovery: contrast therapy.

Expert Coaching

Our coaching system ensures our members get the most out of their training. Whether you’re looking to lose weight, build muscle, improve your performance or learn new skills, we have coaches for all goals and lifestyles.

Our coaches focus on sustainable change beyond the gym floor, working with a system built to encourage collaboration and communication. They understand life can be hectic and are here to help find what works for you.

Each year, our coaches undergo more than 200 hours of development and education through the One Playground Academy
